Penn Design - Spring 2011, Studio Dubbeldam
Emergent Chaos - Research Studio
The spring studio objective is to analyze the great pacific garbage patch and how technologies in robotics, recycling and fabrication can inform architectural design both on the organizational level and the building component scale. The studio will be collaborating with the Space&Design Strategies Group in Austria. With research of networks and dynamic systems coupled with strategies of adaptive reuse/refabrication of reclaimed plastic, the students will develop architectural & ecological proposals for areas of Staten Island. More work to come!
